14 Aug Graphic novel-ing my life
Last week, I attended “Graphic Novel your Life”, an intensive week-long course at the House of Illustration in London, run by Rachael Ball (author of “The Inflatable Woman”). Doesn’t everybody think their life story is worth a book? To be honest, I’m not so sure anymore about mine. The purpose of the course was to plot the whole book and then script, storyboard and draw a small part of it. I ended up sketching a story inspired by my family and my experiences growing up in Romania in the 90’s; I don’t know if the book will ever be finished or even continued, but here’s a tiny glimpse at the character concepts I scribbled.
